The Hyperion System 9 Foundation Services provide a robust platform that the rest of the System applications and Business Intelligence Suite can build upon.

Foundation Services includes the following five components:

Hyperion System 9 BPM Architect (BPM Architect)

BPM Architect is a visual development and data management interface, allowing the applications to share both data and metadata, reducing the time taken to deploy applications.   

Hyperion System 9 Workspace™ (Workspace)

The Workspace is a central web portal for access to Hyperion content and the System 9 modules, providing users with a consistent interface, via a web browser interface, without the need to install any software.

Hyperion System 9 Smart View for Office™ (Smart View)

Smart View provides integration between the Hyperion System 9 suite and the Microsoft Office products, giving you the ability to report or interrogate your data in Excel, Word or PowerPoint.

Hyperion System 9 Shared Services™ (Shared Services)

The Shared Services provide a central framework to create and maintain users, and manage their security across all Hyperion System 9 modules, thereby reducing having to setup users multiple times or in multiple applications.

The tangible benefit of the foundation services is that they allow for the central administration and sharing of metadata, users and security, across the solution. This means that you don’t need an army of administrators to run your systems.
